Founded in April 2022, CAMDER FC is more than just Veteran group we are a brotherhood, a community, and a movement built on the values of Ubuntu. We are a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) serving the Derby area. Through inclusive football and community work, we bring people from diverse ethnic, cultural, and professional backgrounds together to break down barriers, build friendships, and support one another. Every Sunday, we don’t just play football we build lasting friendships, support one another, and grow together.
Our Mission: Building Bridges Through Football
At CAMDER FC, football is the bridge that connects people — not just a sport, but a pathway to friendship, mental health, and belonging.We aim to:
- *Build bridging social capital between people of different backgrounds and professions.
*Encourage inclusion and resilience through shared community experiences.
*Create belonging and trust within Derby’s diverse communities.
Every Sunday at Alvaston Park, 60–80 participants with their families gather for football, food, and fellowship — forming bonds that go far beyond the pitch.
WHAT WE DO
Inclusive community sessions at Alvaston Park.We need at Alvaston Park every Sundays from 2pm to play football and share a meal after our training sessions
Community empowerment day
Our annual celebration brings residents, professionals, and civic leaders together to promote unity, wellbeing, and positive action.
We host training, wellbeing talks, and family days in partnership with local organisations like Community Action Derby, Derby Homes, and other community partners.

The camaraderie on and off the pitch is the heartbeat of our community, where the love for the game is shared, and friendships are formed.
